Dr. Calvin Swan

Dr. Calvin Swan has served as the District Superintendent since 1999. Cal sees himself as a pastor to pastors and also guides these varied ministries with a shepherd's heart. Prior to his present ministry, Cal served as Pastor of the Mulford Evangelical Free Church in Muscatine, Iowa. He received his D.Min. and M.Div. degrees from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and is also a graduate of Wheaton College.

Larry Austin

We are excited to announce that Larry Austin will be joining Central District Staff as the new director of Church Health.  Larry will begin his ministry with us on September 1.  Larry has served for nearly 23 years as Pastor of Adult Ministries at the First EFC of Ames, Iowa.  Larry is nationally recognized in the EFC as a superb ministry trainer and a leader in understanding church health.  Larry's job description calls for him to contribute to the Central District mission of multiplying healthy churches by focusing on the health of our churches, pastors and lay leaders.

Richard and Pam Schumacher

Richard joined the Central District team in January 2008 as Regional Associate Superintendent and Church Planting Missionary for the southern region of Missouri and Arkansas.  Richard’s office and home is in the St. Louis metropolitan area.

Rev. Mark and Carol Doss

Mark and Carol Doss have served as a Church Planting Team in the Central part of our District since 1995.  Mark is also providing administrative oversight for our credentialing process.

Luis and Susan Martinez

Luis and Susan Martinez began their ministry with the Central District in 2007.  Luis serves as the Hispanic Ministries Director.

Rhonda Nichols

Dr. John and Win Stanford

John and Win Stanford joined our team in the fall of 2001.  They serve us as our Leadership Encouragement Team and are available for personal ministry and spiritual encouragement for all leaders throughout the District.
